Workshops, a festive reception and the General Assembly of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (Academia scientiarum et artium Europaea) were held in Salzburg on July 1 and 2, 2022. The previous president Felix Unger, who led the Academy since its establishment in 1990, handed over the presidential chain at the Assembly to the new president Klaus Mainzer, elected in 2020.

At the ceremonial part of the Assembly, diplomas were handed out to members of the Academy admitted since the last Assembly 2020. From Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, diplomas were received by: Srećko Gajović, Marin Milković, Dejan Jović, Miomir Žužul, Pavo Barišić, Franjo Topić, Izet Mašić, Aida Kulo Ćesić, Admir Badnjević.
