1959 Born in Gornja Dubica.
Education
1966 - 1970 Primary school in Gornja Dubica.
1970 - 1974 Primary school in Odžak.
1974 - 1978 Grammar school Bol on Brač.
1978 - 1982 Law study at the University of Osijek and Zagreb.
1979 - 1983 Graduated from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences with degree in Philosophy and German Language and Literature.
1983 - 1985 Postgraduate study of Philosophy of Science at the Interuniversity Centre in Dubrovnik. Obtained a master’s degree in Philosophy of Science from the University of Zagreb with the thesis Hegel’s Practical Philosophy, mentor Ante Pažanin.
1987 - 1989 Doctoral study of Philosophy, German Studies and Law at the University of Augsburg. Obtained the PhD degree with the dissertation “World and Ethos. Hegel’s Attitude towards the Decline of the Occident” (Welt und Ethos. Hegels Stellung zum Untergang des Abendlandes), mentor Arno Baruzzi and rapporteur Alois Halder.
