On June 19, 2020, at the Faculty of Croatian Studies, University of Zagreb, a scientific conference "The Importance of European Memory for the European Future: Communist Postwar Crimes" was held. In my welcome speech, I emphasised the importance of exploring historical facts and the dangers of ideological overshadowing of truth.
The exhibition of Croatian cultural monuments in art photographs "Croatia In the Heart of Europe – Mediterranean and Central European Cultural Landscapes of Croatia" was opened on Friday, June 5, 2020 at the Faculty of Croatian Studies by Ivica Poljičak, envoy of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia and State Secretary at the Ministry of Culture.
The General Assembly of the International Pan-European Union was held in the European Parliament in Strasbourg on 7 and 8 February 2020. Alain Terrenoire was re-elected as President, Mislav Jezic as one of the Vice-Presidents, and I was elected as Secretary-General.
On Friday, December 20, 2019, the first Christmas reception was held at the Faculty of Croatian Studies, University of Zagreb. The academic part took place in the Zagreb Hall, and food, drink and commemorative gifts were served in the reading room and in the library lobby. It was also the first public ceremony since the Faculty was proclaimed.
